Carl Rosenberger :: Chief Software Architect

Carl is the designer and lead programmer of the db4o database engine and oversees the product management. Carl started db4o in 2000 when he felt the need for a simple and easy-to-use object database to meet the needs of object-oriented software developers. He first offered the db4o product in 2002 and thus laid the foundation for the incorporation of db4objects in 2004. Prior to founding db4objects, Carl was chief software architect for APSIS Software and Lawconsult.

Carl is member of the EJB 3 expert group (JSR 220) and focuses on object querying APIs. He published the paper Native Queries for Persistent Objects in collaboration with William Cook.
